On the topic of Japanese craftwork, the woven strap you see in the pictures is actually calf leather and fabric, made using a Japanese technique called yoroi-ori (armor weaving) that was once used for making samurai armor. Grand Seiko link claims this gives link the strap increased durability, but if it is too outside the box for your tastes, there's another traditional leather strap in the box, each pairing with the included titanium clasp link with push button release.
Since then, many watches have crossed my wrist, both link my own and link loaned pieces I've reviewed for this and other publications. And while Pikullik link thinks that the physical resources of the space – his specialized tools, equipment, and books – might keep his team around, link it doesn't matter as long link as the knowledge is used.
