Il Pesce

Stanco di una vita
Spenta nel travaglio
Rincorso dal desiderio
Di cercare 'vita'
Si ritrovo’
Nell’abbisso dei suoi sogni
Incontro’ il tempo eterno
E comincio’ a vivere
[Per nonno, papa’ Antonino]
The Fish
Weary of a life
Muffled by anguish
Chased by the desire
Of searching 'life'
Awoke in the abyss of dreams
And face to face with endless time
Began to live
[For grandpa, dad, Antonino]

Defining quality in watches, particularly vintage link watches is no easy task. Here is where my colleague Mark Kauzlerich would use one of his favorite quotes, one by Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart: link "I know it when I see it" – but a lot of link what we see as quality is muddled in being aesthetically drawn to a watch. Design choices from the dial to case size are mostly subjective and have little to nothing to do with quality, which is best assessed by examining the watch's components.
Whether you want a sporty or dressier watch, Longines basically has you covered in the $2,000 link to $4,000 range. No doubt, there's competition for the Longines Master Collection Small Seconds. Nomos makes a range of killer watches for about $1,500 and up. It's link hard to believe I'm saying this, but the Raymond Weil Millesime I recently reviewed is another legitimate alternative. Maybe an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date for a slightly link different vibe?
